The song that I’m going to explain the meaning is Shadow the day. This song play by Linkin park the one of famous rock band in the world. This song is the one of their album Minute to midnight their new album.
This song Shadow of the day is talking about the shadow that covers the world. Like now many bad things happen to our world every place in the world every society has more crime and corruption. Especially in the last 10 years many problems happen such as war like in Iraq.
The lyrics compare the shadow as a problem in our world and that problem will turn the world in to gray I think it mean the problem will make the world much more terrible. Maybe it sound like now world is hopeless but the sun will set for you I think this mean even if the world are miserable and hopeless but it still have the chance to beginning the new thing like the sun shine in the morning that make all of living things in the world know that the now day have already begin.

My parent’s opinion
My parent’s opinion for the society, life is complicated. They didn’t show their opinion but I think I know what they thought.
My father and mother both graduate from the university in USA. So they absorb the way to thinking or living their life. My mother she finished university from university of Indiana in USA. My father graduated from university of Texas. So they are both have a good education and very good skill in English especially my mother her English is excellent. So they think differently from the ordinary Thai people. For example my mother said Thailand should focus on develop the country but if we develop the country we must care about the humble people in society like the farmers.
My father is engineer he loves all of technology things. I think he always hope that one of his children will be the engineer like him work as scientist or something like that. He thinks the society now on must have the strong leader all we got to do now is make our nation strong not just talk and don’t do any things. My father doesn’t like to beg for anyone to help him he will try and try if it doesn’t work he will smile and said “It will be another way”. I like this part of him he always thinks in positive.
My mother is translator she works for True Vision. She has the strong believe in the way to successful. She always tells me to focus and persevering she said only persevering person that have a successful life. I agree with that but what successful mean? Does it mean very rich and powerful. I think it depends on what you think for somebody successful is just sent their kids to school until they finish college.

How do you feel when you do something special or important?
Have you ever done something important? I think everybody must have some important thing in their life. For example some very important situations like entrance exam, test for scholarship or singing in the concert.
I have many special times. But there is one special time that changed me and I will remember that time for the rest of my life. Last year when I was studying in grade 9 I heard something about the special quota for the students that have very good skills in music or sport in the famous high school Triam-Udom. At first my friend invited me to go to the audition with him. I said to him that I didn’t want to be a musician in future because if I got in I must practice music with school band every evening after school and at the weekends too. I didn’t want to spend my time with the music that much. So at first I wasn’t interested in it much but after that I thought I wanted to try. I wanted to know what was the level of my skill I went to the audition. The official told me that the audition began at 8.00 in the morning but truly it began at 4.00 in the evening. I had been in a bad temper for a couple of hour. Then they finally summoned me for the audition. I felt very nervous I stepped in the audition room and there were 3 teachers in the room. My hands were wet by the death sweat, my legs were shaking. I felt my stomach was a twister. I tried to resist those body effects I tried to be cold and it worked. After that the next week I knew the result, I didn’t pass the audition. I was depressed for a couple of weeks. I should have tried my best. After that I have learn that I should try my best every time.

Culture
There are many cultures in the world. The cultures are different because people don’t come from the same place and don’t have the same opinion. All of the countries in the world have their own culture and have there own beliefs.
I have learned about culture and I found out that cultures are changing. For example in Thailand in the past we thought that women don’t go to work they just take care of the children and do the entire housework. So in the past women didn’t go to school and at that time men are much more important than woman. But today everything has changed many women went to work and men stayed home to take care of the house. So I think cultures are changing all the time.
Last week I had done the English project. The project was about interviewing foreigners about their culture. I met many people from many countries. I met people who come from France, England, Israel and China, they have different cultures. I enjoyed that project very much I have the opportunity to have the conversation in English. I now know many things that I never knew before from this project.

What society expects of me
I think the people around me are expecting from me. My parents want me to be more aggressive in my work. They want me to be a successful person in future but they will not make me feel bad by their pressure. Sometimes they might but they just want to see their son pays more attention.
Last term my grade was very low in many subjects. I didn’t pass 50% in science subject. At first I was very upset later my mother saw it. She didn’t say anything she just ask me one question. She asked me that what the honor mean for me. Then she said “for me honor is responsibility and doing best on your duty”. Then I began to think that if I keep get a bad result no one will get in trouble except me. My pride my honor will be broken. I feel guilty because I let my mother dawn. I make her disappoint. I will pay more attention in everything that pass in my life that is what my parents expect from me.
For teachers and friends I think they expect from me too. For friends I think they just expect me to be a good person in society in future.
My teachers expect of me a lot. Some teachers they might expect of me but some might not. But they all want me to be such a good person in society. I think every teacher want to see the full ability of their students. I always disappointed them I didn’t try 100%. I don’t know why may be because of my personality.

Everything about myself
Hi everybody my name is Nattanond but you guys can also call me Ohm. Now I’m a high school student in Bangkok. I’m a 15 year old boy who loves to spend time with practicing music. I like music I have played flute for 7 years. I just love it when I play flute I forget everything it makes me feel like the world has only me and my flute in this world . Now I’m head of school marching band every morning I must come to school early to go to the band. I think this activity trains me to be more responsible.
After school sometimes I play football with my friends. I also enjoy football.
When I feel bad I always play football it makes me feel better and relax.
I’m a cheerful person if you want to drive me crazy that’s very hard to do because I’m not kind of angry person but if I angry you are in danger (I’m kidding). I don’t believe that violence can solve the problem. Sometimes it works but first I will ask for reason I like to do a negotiation. When I encounter the problems I will try to solve it by my self first if I can’t do it I will ask for some help.
I like to travel around I like to know new people and go to new places to learn something that I have never known. I want to be a lawyer i think this career is good , The salary is fine but I don’t want to be like some bad lawyer that helps bad people and get a lot of money. I will be the honest lawyer who helps good people and defends them in the court.
That is my first choice in my life the second choice is writer. I want to be a writer too I think writing books is very comfortable job it has a lot of freedom to work. You can work everyplace like J.K. Rolling at first before she gets rich she wrote famous book Harry Potter in the small coffee shop. I think this job is good you can write your idea and your oppinions or you can use your imagination too.
My dream is to travel around the world. Especially in a country that has problems and needs some help. I want to be the one of value person in the world I don’t want to graduate and work, work and work. Now people in this world are confusing.
The whole world is out of control. If we don’t stop hurting our self by war, pollution and all of nasty things we will have a big problem. I want to help my friends in this world who need some help and I hope that one day world will return to the beginning, the pure world.
